The Ballathie Fishings
Ballathie is situated at the heart of Perthshire in charming, unspoilt countryside between the Grampian and Sidlaw Hills. Ballathie is a traditional Scottish Estate encompassing farming, forestry and sporting enterprises. The former mansion is now a leading 4 star country house hotel which provides superb dining and accommodation for anglers if required. The Ballathie beat is divided into the Upper and Lower Beats and can be fished from the banks, by wading and from a boat. The beat extends to about 1.25 miles in length and include 17 named pools. There is a reciprocal arrangement with the proprietors of the opposite bank (Cargill) whereby each proprietor can fish both banks on alternate days. There are 2 good lunch huts and a ghillie is allocated to each beat.

Murthly Fishings
The Murthly Estate is situated 4 miles to the south of Dunkeld which is known as 'The Gateway to the Highlands'. Murthly is a traditional Scottish Estate encompassing farming, foresty and sporting enterprises, which has remained in the ownership of the same family for several centuries. The Murthly beats can be fished from the banks, by wading and from a boat. They offer marvellous fly fishing and while spinning is permitted, the use of fly only is encouraged from 1st June to 31st August other than in exceptionally high water. The formation of the Murthly Syndicate in 1996 has allowed fishermen to secure prime fishing on the River Tay for specific weeks for a period of up to 60 years. Syndicate members have the exclusive right to fish for Salmon and sea trout during their chosen week until 2055. These certificates may be sold or otherwise transferred during the period of the lease, although the proprietors reserve a right of pre-emption entitling them to acquire the certificate from the seller at market value. The syndicate is managed by a Management Committee which meets twice a year.
